In April 2024, the Department of Justice published a rule that sets technical requirements for state and local governments including public school districts to follow to make sure that their websites and mobile apps are accessible to people with disabilities. This week, they released a new resource guide which provides a checklist for what school districts and other impacted entities should consider doing to prepare for compliance with the new ADA standard. AASA recommends you take a look at this checklist and begin the process of thinking through compliance as soon as possible.
